Our Mission

Refs for Refs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of ice hockey officials. We are founded in Dallas, TX, in memory of our dear friend, Ryan Brown. Inspired by his loss, we established this organization to support hockey officials within the DFW Metroplex and beyond. 

Our mission is to provide resources and support for officials, including funding for mental health awareness initiatives, officiating scholarships, assistance in the event of sudden loss, and other programs that enhance the lives of our fellow officials.

We want to create a strong, supportive community where officials can come together, share experiences, and receive assistance when needed. We envision a band of brothers and sisters united by a shared passion for hockey and a commitment to helping one another.
